Abdul Sattar Edhi was a philanthropist and humanitarian who founded Edhi foundation and considered as Most respected figure of Pakistan.

After the death of Edhi Sahab , There has been a drastic decrease in the funds . A drastic reduction of 30% in charity effected the functioning of foundation badly. we were honored that we were given a chance to collect the funds for Edhi foundation. It was our first fund collection experience, None of us had the this experience before. With this opportunity we learned so many things which I’ll be explaining later.

We were required to perform this task in a group. We were total 7 members. Initially we made strategies on funds collection. we decided to reach to Influencers and bloggers to promote the fundraising. All of us posted about the fundraising on their social Media accounts and also reached out to our Immediate relatives and family members. Unfortunately, the reaction that we received was not very positive. We did not receive any response from influencers. The ones who responded to us did not believe that its for charity. but even then we tried our best to convince them. Some of them believed while some of them did not.

There were several issues that came in between. the stare that people gave when we asked for donation was like we were begging them for our own self. there were trust issues as well. it was sad to know that people can not spend even 100 rupees for such a noble cause.

After all of our efforts we were managed to collect Rs 6300 In total. The overall experience was good as it taught so many things. It helped us in accepting failures in a way that If you want to do something we will surely encounter many failures but the most important things is that If you fall you know how to stand up again and you don't have to give up trying. If we have a heart in something there is nothing that can stop us not even failure. The second lesson that we learnt is that always show positive attitude while receiving negative feedback from others.
